Collection: Egg Series - Prints

Using my very first camera, I chose farm eggs as my inaugural subject. I was and still remain quite fascinated by their shape, texture and colour.

The eggs that were used in my open edition print series came from a family hobby farm located in the Canadian province of Quebec. I had ordered two dozen eggs. You can only imagine my surprise and joy when I opened the egg cartons to see eggs in a dazzling array of colours of pure white to deep brown and muted beige. I was hooked – I knew then that this fascinating object would never cease to enthral me with its beauty and purity of form.

On the other hand, photographing these eggs was quite a challenge. Not so easy to keep the eggs from rolling around especially on a smooth surface like the glass from my scanner!
